Warm Audio Centavo | Review and reputation
This pedal is awesome!!
Sound HouseThan
When you play it, you'll be able to hear the bite, thickness, and definition of the sound that will make you smile.
I've never actually played the original Klon pedal, so I only know from YouTube how similar the sounds are, but after listening to a number of Klon pedals,
I chose the WARM AUDIO product for its looks and sound.
The gold appearance, button arrangement, and size will also stimulate your desire to own it.
I play the clean guitar on a Marshall DSL 20 with a Les Paul.
As I wrote at the beginning, the sound is so amazing that you'll want to keep playing it forever.
It's been about 20 years since I started playing the guitar in high school, but my feeling that "playing the guitar is fun" has suddenly increased.
The balance is slightly high-waisted, and the low range feels a bit tight when the MOD is off.
Sound HouseThan
When I played with the settings emphasizing the high frequencies, I felt a slight sensation of small bones piercing the sound.
The circuit appears to be Rev.3.
This means that there will be no pictures from the end of the long tail.
CENTAVO is a replica plus a little extra, within the budget range.
As an added bonus, there is a MOD switch as well as an additional diode to reduce Zener noise.
I think this product is extremely wonderful, but after listening carefully to the sound it produces and looking at the parts it uses, I got the feeling that with just a few more tweaks it could be made into a high-quality KENTA product without cost constraints.
The ECQV has been increased, one tantalum is used, and the backflow prevention has been made fast recovery.
Also, by coincidence, the DC jack was having poor contact, so I replaced it with the one I always trust when building things myself.
Just this alone made a huge difference.
The overall sound had more body and the thick, clear sound reverberated even at low volume, so my friend and I were astounded by the dramatic transformation.
I'm super happy to have this awesome overdrive.
These days, it seems like these guitars are being traded for as much as high-end guitars second-hand, but as I heard it was this price and came with a JB mod, I bought it straight away.
Sound HouseThan
As for the sound, it has the sound from the attached video. If you use JB mod, it also has that kind of sound.
I compared it with the Jeff Archer, a must-have for JB fans, and it's comparable, but the sound is a little on the higher end (this is just my personal opinion).
I bought it without checking the dimensions, but it is big. It is three times the size of Jeff Archer.
I think it's the real thing and I want to treasure it.
