The Butter Machine was developed in collaboration with Michael Landau, who spent over two years working on various prototypes to create his ideal distortion pedal. This pedal is Michael Landau's signature distortion pedal, and was perfected after repeated tweaking based on feedback from his own performances.
Michael Landau tested the pedal many times not only in live performances, sessions, and support situations, but also in many recording studios and his home studio in Los Angeles. This resulted in the realization of new ideas and various improvements, resulting in a user-friendly distortion pedal that can be used in a wide range of performance situations, from overdrive to distortion.
This distortion pedal is an innovative product that makes it easy to add dynamics to your sound and gives guitarists more control over their picking nuances.
Comment from Michael Landau
For a long time, I have been using the SD9 as my main distortion pedal, but I have always found it to be a little bit of a problem, with both good and bad points. For example, if the pedal knobs are not set properly, the sound can be too compressed or have a sharp, treble sound. So a few years ago, I asked Daiya (CEO of Trisound) if he could design a distortion pedal that takes the good parts of the SD9's sound quality as a reference, but without the excessive compression and sharp high-end.
At the beginning, we started by taking inspiration from the best parts of the SD9 sound, but after repeated trial and error during development, this new Vemuram distortion pedal has implemented various improvements and ideas.
Along with three knobs for gain, volume, and tone, there are two trim pots on the top that allow you to tweak the tone in a unique way not often found on other distortion pedals.
The final version of the Vemuram distortion pedal has an open and natural "Feeling" overdrive sound that is perfect for me. It has plenty of gain and sustain, and is clear and punchy even when the guitar volume is turned down. It is also easy to adjust the overdrive sound to a level that is musical and easy to use.
We named this pedal the "Butter Machine" and when you play it you'll understand why.
A very satisfying sound experience for you!
Michael Landau
