■A perfect reproduction of the Mother amp head
The Mother Preamp was developed in collaboration with Electronic Audio Experiments (EAE), known for its precise design and solid tone making. All of the resonance of the Mother MKIII amp head, which best embodies Science Amplification, is packed into a compact size.

The meticulous full analog circuit, which uses field effect transistors (FETs) instead of vacuum tubes, perfectly reproduces the thrilling sound of a vacuum tube driven at high voltage. Just like a real amplifier, the Mother Preamp has a full-bodied responsiveness that reflects your playing, and does not lose any headroom or harmonics from the pedals connected to it.

■Dual Channel + Tone Shaping
The Mother Preamp is a two-channel design with independent volume and gain, which can be switched at any time with a foot switch.

Channel A is perfect for the pedal platform, offering crystal clean, glassy breakup, and a spectacular crunch tone with a retrospective growl. And Channel B gives you access to high gain sounds that pass through any texture, and even fully saturated heavy saturation. No matter what settings you have on either channel, you can always enjoy the powerful, high-resolution, beautiful, musical tone that is characteristic of Science.

The EQ has the familiar texture found in standard amplifiers, and by sharing it across both channels, it achieves a natural transition between channels.

Depth is a unique parameter that controls the low frequency components before the drive stage. It affects the tightness/looseness of the sound, the feeling of distortion, the responsiveness of the preamp, and many other aspects. Absense fine-tunes the last high frequency components in the signal path, allowing intuitive control of the harmonic components. It also affects the presence in the ensemble.

■Two output options
The Mother Preamp has two output terminals with different voicings, allowing you to use either one depending on the situation.

The Output is designed to be the best combination when connecting to the input of an existing guitar/bass amp. Enjoy a unique tone by using the Mother Preamp as an EQ or distortion device while still having the characteristic mid-scoop of an instrument amp. Add two more great channels to your favorite amp, or use Channel A as a tone enhancer, always on, and Channel B as a boost/drive.

The Power Amp/Direct Out provides a fuller range response. You can use it as an amp by connecting it to the flat power amp or the amp's effect return. You can also use the recording interface and speaker emulation to capture the best amp sound.
