PLINI is an independent solo artist from Sydney, Australia. He writes, plays guitar, records, produces and develops his own unique brand of instrumental progressive rock from his home studio.

His debut album, HANDMADE CITIES, was named #20 on Guitar World Magazine's "20 Best Guitar Albums of the Decade" and described by STEVE VAI as "one of the best, forward-thinking, melodic, rhythmically, harmonically deep, evolutionary rock/metal instrumental guitar albums I've ever heard." He was also named #5 on Music Radar's "Top 2020 Best Progressive Guitarists in the World Today" in early 10. His latest album, IMPULSE VOICES, recorded and released in late 4 amid the uncertainty of the pandemic, has received many rave reviews and has already been streamed millions of times.

Over the past few years, PLINI has toured the world supporting bands such as ANIMALS AS LEADERS, PERIPHERY, TESSERACT and INTERVALS, as well as hosting his own tours in North America, Europe, Australia, Asia and India. He also appeared as the first instrumental act at the legendary Download Festival UK in 2018.

Post-pandemic, PLINI has had a diverse run of sold-out headline dates in Australia, India and Scandinavia, festival appearances in Australia, UK, Germany and Portugal, and performing at some of Australia's finest theatres in support of NORTHLANE. 2023 will see PLINI and his trusted live roster embark on a bigger-than-ever headline run across Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Europe and North America.

PLINI was also a special guest lecturer at the "Vai Academy" in 2019, alongside STEVE VAI, JOE SATRIANI and DEVIN TOWNSEND. Although completely self-taught, he has been invited to give masterclasses at some of the most prestigious contemporary music colleges in the world, including Berklee College of Music, Musicians Institute (USA), BIMM (UK) and JMC Academy (Australia).

PLINI has signature guitars with Strandberg Guitars, signature guitar amplifier software with Neural DSP, and endorsement deals with Yamaha Music, Dunlop, D'Addario and Fractal Audio.

Its multi-scale design features 25.5" bass and 25" treble strings, with a Richlite 24-fret fingerboard for precise intonation. The ergonomic EndurNeck profile and 20" fingerboard radius maximize comfort and speed, while the combination of a cutaway and bolt-on heel design ensures smooth playing.   Known for technical excellence and exceptional design, Ola Strandberg and his team are always looking to take on new challenges. The Prini Sälen series further strengthens its jazz profile with a fast-playing fingerboard made from Richlite and an expressive EGS Rev 7 tremolo. Richlite is similar to wood but is durable and weather resistant, making it the ideal fingerboard material for touring musicians to deal with changing humidity. Strandberg's EGS tremolo system re-emerges as the EGS Rev 7, providing a tighter, smoother response and more stable tuning than the previous version. Coupled with a neck joint heel for easier access to the higher frets and a repositioned arm bevel for improved comfort, you'll have complete control over your tone.

• Elegant plasticity of sound
  Unlike other models in the series, Prini's Sälen aims for a sound that transitions seamlessly from high output to crystal clear. The EndurNeck design optimizes ergonomic access for the 20" fingerboard, while the multi-scale design (25" treble strings, 25.5" bass strings) ensures rock-solid intonation and harmonics. The H/S configuration features a Suhr SSH+ humbucker in the bridge and a chrome-covered Suhr Classic T single-coil pickup in the neck. The center position of the 3-way selector activates only the outer coils of the bridge and neck pickups, while the third position operates the bridge humbucker in series. This allows for a wide range of tones.
