MXR '74 Vintage Phase90 | Review and reputation
The basic sound is the same as the regular Phase90, but this one seems more faithful to the original sound. It's a very atmospheric sound. I really like this soft feel.

The current Phase 90 is a bit too bold and assertive, which is good and bad, so if you find this uncomfortable, this might be the one for you. The only disappointing thing is that it only runs on batteries and doesn't have an LED. I knew about this before I bought it, but it's still inconvenient.
In comparison with Small Stone
Sound HouseThan
It's not like a so-called phaser sound like Boss etc.
It might be more accurate to describe it as a wet version of the Leslie effect.
However, it is properly phased, but somehow elegant.
I can still feel the water pulsating.
It's simple with only one speed knob, but you can use it no matter where you turn it.
This is truly a case of simplicity being best.
The paint is smooth and matte, giving it a vintage feel.
If you're looking for a phaser, this is it.
I used to use EVH, but I sold it and replaced it with a smaller series.
Sound HouseThan
However, the small MXR phaser didn't quite suit me, so I bought this one.
I might like it more than EVH!
It's not flashy, but it's exactly the phaser sound I'm looking for.
It's cute that it can only be powered by batteries.
