About Morgan | About the brand

This is an amplifier brand founded by Joe Morgan, who has been manufacturing, modifying and repairing amplifiers for many years. Morgan began designing amplifiers to find solutions to the challenges he faced as a guitarist. Since a tube amplifier is only as good as its components, he selects the highest quality parts. In particular, custom-designed transformers produce the best sound.

Morgan Amplification, an American boutique guitar amplifier brand, has released the PR1960 Combo, a hand-wired all-tube combo amplifier made in the USA that is based on the classic American amp equipped with a spring reverb unit that appeared in the 12s and customized to meet the demands of modern guitarists.
This is a single-channel all-tube amplifier with three 12AX7 preamp tubes, two 3V6 power tubes, and a 6AR2 rectifier tube, providing 5W of output.
It has an open-back structure and is equipped with one Celestion 12-inch speaker, G12M-25 Greenback (16 Ω).
By firmly fixing it to a baffle board made of high-density Baltic birch plywood, energy loss is minimised and the bass reproduction is excellent.
Combined with the open-back construction, it produces a powerful sound with plenty of core and punch despite its small size.
There are only five controls: volume that covers the overdrive range, two tones (treble and bass) with a wide range of variation, reverb and duel.
The reverb can be turned on/off using the included foot switch.
The PR12 Combo also matches well with pedals, both modern and vintage, and works particularly well with fuzz, boost, overdrive, phaser, flanger, tremolo, wah, and various delays.
When you turn the power switch on, the Morgan logo on the top left of the front panel is backlit.
The exterior is covered in durable, scratch-resistant ballistic vinyl leather and comes in a luxurious twilight color.

Morgan PR12 Combo | Review and reputation
I've owned a few amps in my life, but this one really impressed me. Probably the best spring reverb I've ever heard. This amp is great for classic rock and modern country. It also works well with pedals, especially the Dirty Shirley (Freidman). The shimmer of the clean tones will make you want to take the next day off work.

I was looking to buy a Princeton style amp and was trying to choose between a few offerings, all Fender offerings and other smaller manufacturers. I was very interested in the way this amp's reverb was done with the dwell control, and this one did not disappoint.
