About JHS | About the brand

JHS Pedals is an effects pedal company created by Josh Scott with a focus on quality in a saturated effects pedal market. It started in early 2007 when he repaired a BOSS Blues Diver, and has since developed into a world-renowned effects pedal brand. Josh has learned what musicians need and want through touring and sessions over the years, and through his experience, he has developed the conviction to launch JHS.

One of the biggest challenges for Bonsai was accounting for part drift, as these pedals were made decades ago and internal parts have deviated from their original values.

JHS Pedals The Bonsai | Reviews and Reputation
I was enthralled by the feast of sounds. Josh from JHS is a magician. He's packed 9 pedals into one tiny box, and every pedal is amazing. This isn't just a $ pedal. It's 1 $ worth of pedals, all in one pedalboard space. Get it and give it a try.

In YouTube videos, the different TSs sound subtly different, but to me it's not a huge difference. In a mix, the TSs sound more different and stand out in a different way in the mix. This pedal is worth it just for the Keeley and JHS modes. I haven't double tracked a guitar with this pedal yet, but I think that would be ideal... Pick a different TS for each part and double track it would sound amazing. Also, the Bonsai TS-9 sounds better than my regular TS-9. It's hard to put into words, but the Bonsai TS-9 sounds less plasticky and better in that sense.
