The AT+ is a signature overdrive pedal developed by Andy Timmons to provide him with his own lead and rhythm tones. When Andy bought an Angry Charlie in 2013, he started using it as his main tone and immediately contacted Josh Scott of JHS Pedals to modify it to suit his needs. After much trial and error to suit Andy's taste, the "@" was born and released in 2016. This pedal provides a wide range of tone options for a variety of players, while also providing the extreme overdrive and distortion that Andy produces.
The AT+ is a 2-in-1 pedal that couples an independent booster to the front stage without changing the controls or sound nuances of The AT. It can also be used as a gain booster in combination with the drive section to create a more intense distortion sound. If you connect it to the input of a tube amp and use it as a standalone booster, you can drive the tube amp by increasing the input gain.
- Andy Timmons signature model based on the modern Marshall sound "Angry Charlie" that he has loved for many years
- The AIR knob allows you to adjust the high-frequency range, greatly changing the sound character.
- The booster installed before the distortion can be used in combination with the gain boost or used alone.

JHS Pedals The AT+ | Reviews and Reputation
What I particularly like about the sound of the AT+ is the AIR knob. It can express a wide range of distortion from dark to bright, and by adjusting the EQ, you can create a clear sound even with a dark atmosphere.

However, the BOOST switch is not that useful on its own. But even if you add the BOOST switch to distortion, it doesn't add much noise and it boosts the sound just fine.
I like to step on both switches, turn down the distortion and BOOST amounts, and also step on the EP BOOSTER, which allows me to enjoy everything from clean drive sounds to distorted sounds just by adjusting my guitar volume. It can be a bit tedious, but I like how there is little noise.
Even when used alone, the sound is good.
It's easy to create sounds, and you can also make more detailed adjustments by combining Tone and Air (which the manufacturer describes in the instruction manual as having a PRESENCE-like role).I think the sound quality of the distortion has a multi-faceted feel.
For me the distortion was sufficient, but for players who prefer heavy distortion it may not be suitable.Another nice thing is that the Boost function can be used on its own.
I think it's a pretty nifty pedal. The pedals themselves are not too big and don't get in the way when placed on the board.
