Fulltone OCD: The huge bestseller that created an era of overdrive pedals [Sound demo and reviews]

It was such a best-seller that it would not be an exaggeration to say that it created an era of overdrive.
A wide gain range from low volume clean sounds to crunch and rock sounds.
Another major reason why it became a best-seller is that it is extremely compatible with solid-state amplifiers, including JC.

OCD is an extremely versatile drive pedal by Fulltone. If you have a great amp like a Marshall 18Watt or a VOX AC15, and you have a basement or studio where you can turn up the volume knob, you know that you can hear a number of harmonics even when playing power chords. You also know that if you turn down the volume of your guitar, you can get a clean sound that doesn't lose the guitar's original character. Until now, many pedals have not been a substitute for an amplifier for guitarists who are particular about sound. This is because if you distort the pedal enough, you lose the touch sensitivity and harmonics. If you can't use your own amplifier and are forced to use a pedal, these problems have been on your mind. OCD is a pedal made to solve these problems.
HP: Set up at High Peak for a more British sound with an amplified bottom end, increased distortion at all corners of the Drive knob range, more volume, and a slight boost in the upper mids (3.5Khz range).
・LP: When set up to low peak, you can get the original sound of the guitar amp with amazing accuracy, and it is ideal if you are looking for a tone like an old black face or tweed amp when you turn up the volume or clean boost. Contrary to HP, if you are not looking for a British type sound, we recommend setting it up to LP.
- This is an excellent product that brings out all the brilliant tones and rich overtones that Class A amplifiers inherently have. The dynamic range is slightly wider, and the difference between picking softly and picking hard actually produces a wider range of distortion and output than the distortion caused by clipping a normal diode. It also does not impair the original tone of any amplifier or guitar. And by making full use of the guitar's volume control, it brings out a wide range of tones in a spectacular way.

I have a variety of overdrives built into the board, from Landgraff to TS-HW, so I can choose the one that best suits the guitar I'm playing, and in the end, this is the one that's turned on.
Sound House Than
Not only does it faithfully reproduce the guitar's sound, it also adds a unique vintage feel (dry tone).
By adjusting the Level knob, you can set it to the optimum setting for either single or humbuckers (High is the default).
●良い点
Sound House Than
-The distortion is smooth and easy to listen to.
-If you set "Drive=0" it can be used as a clean booster.
- Compatible with 9V to 18V
-Batteries can be inserted without a screwdriver
Bad points
-The case is a bit heavy
-The switch is quite stiff

For example, playing backing on a Les Paul with "Drive=10 o'clock, Tone=14 o'clock, Volume=8 o'clock, HP" produces a crunch that I personally find to be extremely satisfying, and if you turn up the "Drive" it also produces a beautiful distortion!
This versatile pedal is popular among Telecaster users, including Asako Miyazaki from SHISHAMO, Honoka Takahashi from Regal Lily, and HARUNA from SCANDAL!
The volume goes up quite a bit when you set it to HP, so it's fine to set it to around "Volume=9 o'clock"!
