- Equipped with a ROCK/JAZZ switch for switching gain and frequency characteristics (normal channel)
- Equipped with a "GLASS" switch to bypass the TONE circuit and obtain a glass-like sound (normal channel)
- The output levels of the normal channel and drive channel can be adjusted separately.
- Equipped with an HTS (Holistic Tonal Solution) circuit. Unlike conventional buffer circuits, the HTS circuit converts impedance while drawing out the guitar's sound characteristics to the fullest extent, achieving both "sound" and "low noise". This HTS circuit prevents deterioration of sound quality even when the effect is turned off. In addition, the output signal is output in phase with the input signal, so there is no need to worry about phase inversion.
Product details
OVERDRIVELAND has the beautiful sound and presence of the now-rare DUMBLE amp, and was created to allow players to express their individuality.
The designer of this pedal, Freestone's representative, Mr. Hayashi, has experience maintaining and repairing more than 20 DUMBLE amps and has owned several DUMBLE amps himself. DUMBLE amps have a unique overtone even in clean sounds, and the drive sound gives the player a powerful stimulus. The development of OVERDRIVELAND began with the idea of incorporating this feeling into the overdrive of the pedal.
The OVERDRIVELAND sound starts with adjusting the normal channel from basic clean to crunch sounds. Try turning all the knobs to the center and playing a sound. The harmonics change and the tone changes depending on how hard you pick. The normal channel provides a rich tone to bring out a variety of phrases.
The normal channel has "EQ ON/GLASS" and "ROCK/JAZZ" switches to adjust the sound.
The "EQ ON/GLASS" switch sets the equalization function of the normal channel. When the switch is set to "EQ ON," the "TONE" circuit is enabled, giving you a clear tone. On the other hand, when you select "GLASS," the "TONE" circuit is disabled, giving you a bright tone similar to that of a black-face Fender Vibroverb with the Bright switch turned on.
The "ROCK/JAZZ" switch adjusts the frequency response and gain settings of the normal channel. The "ROCK" side is ideal for creating a sound with increased gain, increasing the overall gain while adjusting the gain of the low frequencies. This prevents excessive increase in the volume of the low frequencies and distortion at the input stage of the amplifier. On the other hand, the "JAZZ" side reduces the overall gain and provides a sound with a rich low frequency range.
When you select the OVERDRIVELAND drive channel, a drive circuit is added before the normal channel. Therefore, the signal flows from the input side to the drive circuit, normal channel circuit, and output circuit. This drive circuit is equipped with a "HI-CUT" filter circuit, which allows you to adjust the high-frequency characteristics. In addition, the "PUSH" control allows you to adjust the signal level from the drive circuit to the normal channel. This allows you to control the sense of sound pressure.
In addition, OVERDRIVELAND has a power switching function, the specifications of which differ between ODL-1 and ODL-1-CS.
Differences between the two models
<ODL-1>
You can choose between an external DC9V input or the internal boost power supply (DC14.5V).
Just as changing the power supply voltage to a tube amp changes the sound, changing the voltage of OVERDRIVELAND also changes the sound. We hope you enjoy the changes in sound.

@CHLionRagbaby I didn't preorder Overdriveland, but it seems like the first batch is already sold out, so I'm about to cry 😢

That's so good...
This is the only distortion I need.
I really like the saturated and compressed feel.
It's rare to see distortion that hits you so hard.
