The Tape Delay from Empress Effects achieves sound quality and overwhelming S/N ratio superior to the higher-end Vintage Modified Superdelay. This delay pedal reproduces the deep, organic echo sound of vintage analog tape.
- A pedal that extracts and updates the tape delay sound from the famous Empress Effects/Vintage Modified Superdelay of the 2010s.
- 3 types of tape age control
New = Clear delay sound
vintage = A thick, warm sound that reproduces the "fluctuations" that are unique to analog tape echo. old = A powerful, dark delay sound that even reproduces the dirt on the tape head. - High-pass and low-pass filters and modulation functions to expand the scope of sound creation
- Octave up and down delay sound
- Headroom Changes
- Switch between buffered and true bypass
- Thick, smooth, and organic analog-like sound that's hard to believe coming from a modern device.
- Advanced mode allows you to save and switch between up to three presets

The filter switch is excellent, in common with the VMSD. You can choose between a high-pass filter and a low-pass filter, which is very useful for choosing the sound that is best suited to the band. Also, unlike the VMSD, it is now possible to easily set dotted eighth notes. In any case, this delay is full of great sound design sense!
Sound House Than
it's the best.

It's especially great when recreating tape delays, as you can choose from new, vintage, and old tapes.
The echo gradually smooths out and gives it an analog-like sound, which is very pleasant to use.
The price was high, but I was very satisfied.
Sound, functions, size: For me this is the best and strongest delay!
Sound House Than
It's good that you can preset it. I should have chosen this sooner.
