The Spruce Goose employs an overdrive circuit known for its natural drive and amp-like response, which offers three different input gain stages selectable by a LIFT switch designed to reach new heights.
The LIFT switch acts as an effective way to boost the input, distorting the front end of the drive circuit more, producing a more compressed drive sound while maintaining a dynamic and transparent tone.
The GAIN and VOL knobs allow you to precisely adjust the drive and output levels. The pedal's EQ is comprised of a TREBLE knob for adjusting the high frequencies and an active BASS knob for cutting or boosting the low frequencies. The BASS knob is particularly effective for adding body to single coil guitars or tightening up the low frequencies of warm humbucking guitars.
The Spruce Goose also features mechanical relay true bypass switching that can function in both latching and momentary modes: tap the footswitch for normal latching switching, or hold the footswitch for momentary gain and boost, perfect for getting in front of the mix for quick turns or a burst of chaos.
