This faithful reproduction of the coveted 1973 purple Ram's Head Big Muff has been heard on countless recordings and famous guitar solos. The Big Muff from this era, called the V2, is popular for its clear separation of the sound of each string and exceptional sustain. It has also been slightly updated to include modern features such as true bypass, status LEDs, and a DC9V external power terminal.

I'm not sure which artist or which song it is, but I've heard it a lot, and although I could get close, I never felt like I'd perfectly reached that sound, which is what I thought of as fuzz.
