Orama is Greek for "vision."

As the name suggests, this dual-drive amplifier combines the texture of a classic British amp with the richness of 90s boutique fuzz in one unit, creating a wall of sound.

The amplifier side boosts the JFET to an internal 34V, reproducing the touch and headroom of the OR120.

The fuzz section provides a Peachfuzz-style persistent sustain with two voices: RAW and BURN. The two units can be stacked in series or with another pedal in between.

This is a new generation mainstay that can produce everything from crunch to doom in the center of the board.

Crazy Tube Circuits Orama | Features and Functions

Directly derived from the OR120, the "push" is achieved with the pedal.

The JFET is driven by high voltage to recreate the boundary between "breaking" and "returning" when picking. Even in the clean range, there is no retreat, and the core of the chord remains. The difference from other companies' AIABs is that you can individually adjust the volume of the low-mid range with FAT and the bite of the high range with HFD.

Peachfuzz-style thick walls and modern readability

The fuzz doesn't thin out the low end, and the tone is highly variable. The RAW/BURN dual range allows for instant response, from vintage-inspired fuzziness to thunderous sustain. Layering it with an AMP takes the "face" a step further.

Passive FX loop with serial/separate control

You can insert a chorus, EQ, or noise gate between the AMP and FUZZ to "smooth out the wall's contours." You can also completely separate the two units and use them on separate routes within the board.

Crazy Tube Circuits Orama | Reviews and Reputation

Good reputation (positive reviews)

Positive reviews
  • "The 'OR push' is achieved just from the amp. It brings the signal to the front of the mix without the need for a boost."
  • "RAW is thick and open, while BURN is infinite sustain. The difference between the two modes is practical."
  • "You can create seats using two axes: FAT and HFD. You can instantly adjust them to suit the band."
  • "The FX loop is convenient. By inserting an EQ, you can sharpen the contours of the walls, which is great for recording."
  • "9V supply with high internal voltage. The board is simple, yet the amplifier feels amazing."

Bad reviews (negative reviews)

Negative reviews
  • "The knobs are labeled in a unique way, so it takes time to learn how they work at first."
  • "If you're aiming for ultra-high gain, a specialized fuzz is faster. Orama excels at creating a 'wide wall' effect."
  • "No MIDI or presets. If you want to reproduce each song, you have to adjust it by hand."

Summary | Putting the "wall" in front of you, Dual-minded approach

Do you need forest bathing?
  • I want to create British crunch/stoner/doom sounds with one pedal. I want to save space by running two pedals, AIAB and Fuzz.
  • I want to create a wall that won't get lost in the mix. I want to independently control the volume of the low-mid range and the tension of the high range, and rearrange the frequency range to suit the band.
  • I want to define the characteristics of the amp in a venue where I can't bring in a stack. I want to reproduce the "push of an OR-style amp" even in a clean rehearsal studio environment.
  • Want to change the texture of your song with just one pedal? By combining RAW → BURN and FAT/HFD, you can achieve dynamics from the verse to the chorus with just your feet.

Orama's greatest strength is that it combines the thrust of an OR120-type AIAB with the thickness of a Peachfuzz-type amplifier in a pedal-sized package, allowing you to position the low-midrange and high-range frequencies on separate axes. Even with a clean amp, the "face" comes forward, making it a great choice for guitarists who want to get results on the spot without relying on a stack.

Use a combination of RAW/BURN and FAT/HFD to define different sections of a song, and use the FX loop to refine the contours as needed. This is a unit that can be used as the core of your board for a long time, and can be considered the "solution for building walls."
