About Bogner | About the brand

Bogner is a representative brand of high-end guitar amplifiers made by Reinhold Bogner. They have produced masterpieces such as Ecstasy, Shiva, and Uberschall, and the "Ecstasy" released in 1992 ushered in a new era of boutique amplifiers, and its high-quality sound has fascinated famous musicians such as Steve Stevens, Allan Holdsworth, Michael Landau, and Steve Vai, earning them tremendous trust. In recent years, they have also been highly praised for producing effect pedals, and are attracting attention as an effect pedal manufacturer.

Basic information about Bogner La Grange
| Effector Name | La Grange |
| Brand | Bogner |
| Categories | Over drive |
| Specification. | True Bypass |
La Grange is designed to recreate the tone of famous British Plexi amps played by legendary guitarists.
Using the provided switches and controls, it offers a wide range of exquisite rock sounds, from the crunch of the 60s and 70s to the hot distortion of the 80s and 90s.
Unlike the Ecstasy and Uberschall pedals, the La Grange has a separate boost that can also be used as a volume boost for leads.
The Ch Blend control recreates the two channels of a 67-69 4-input Plexi amp. Fully counter-clockwise is 2% bright channel “T”. Fully clockwise is 100% normal channel “B”. The center position is a 100/2 mix of the two channels.
You can vary the gain level by connecting a volume pedal to the Exp jack (we recommend using a volume pedal with a 25K ohm resistance).
- The pinnacle of highly responsive plexi pedals
- Independent boost and level controls for flexible volume settings
- Gain, Volume, Tone and Channel Blend for extensive sound adjustment
- Channel Blend function recreates two channels of a four-input 4-67 Plexi amp
- Variac switch adds dynamic compression for a distinctive brown sound
- 3 gain levels: Low, Medium, and High
- The Structure switch lets you choose between tight and focused gain, thick and fat gain, and any setting in between.
- The gain can be controlled with an expression pedal
- True bypass

Bogner La Grange | Reviews and Reputation
I think this is one of the best Plexi distortion pedals out there.

I have the impression that this kind of plexi pedal tends to have a poor separation of the sound, which reduces the three-dimensionality and raw power, but the La Grange is different. It's very amp-like and authentic.
It really produces the unique Plexi husky, growling tone. It feels so good. I have it connected to a 1956 Les Paul gold top, and it really brings out the atmosphere of the old sound and gets me pumped. Lol
As other reviews have said, there are a lot of knobs and switches, so it takes some time to fine-tune the tone you want, but that's all part of the fun.
Additionally, the amount of distortion can be adjusted with a three-stage switch, allowing you to create a wide range from crunch to deep overdrive that is almost distortion, so if you like this sound, it might be a good idea to get two of them.
It's not a modern, standard sound that everyone loves, so tastes will vary, but it's definitely a genuine distortion pedal.
I've used a lot of plexi pedals, but this is the best. It's so responsive that it feels great to play the bridge mute or fast. It's so responsive that it's obvious if you're not good at it.
